Installation
Installing Governance.so
Getting started with Governance.so is quick and easy. Simply visit the website and you’ll see an installation prompt or a discreet install icon near the Select Wallet button, depending on your platform.
Android
If you’re using an Android device, a native prompt will appear offering to install the app via your device’s app store. Once installed, Governance.so runs in full-screen mode and supports wallet connections for a seamless mobile experience.
iOS / iPadOS
On iOS or iPadOS, you’ll be guided to add Governance.so to your home screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA). This provides a near-native experience.
Note: PWAs on iOS/iPadOS currently do not support direct wallet connections. However, you can connect your wallet using Safari with supported extensions (e.g., Glow), or use in-app browsers in wallets like Solflare and Phantom which allow both browsing and wallet connectivity.
Chrome & Brave (Desktop)
When using Chrome or Brave on desktop, an install prompt will appear. Clicking it opens the Web Store entry where you can install Governance.so as a desktop app. Once installed, the app runs independently and supports native wallet connections.
Safari (macOS & iOS)
Safari now supports PWAs when added to the home screen. When you visit Governance.so, installation instructions will appear. After adding the app to your home screen, it will function in full-screen mode similar to a native app.
Wallet Support: Currently, installed PWAs on Safari do not support wallet connections, but this feature is expected to be supported in future updates.
